Product Introduction EVA Mitsui Chemicals (Mitsui Polychemicals) 150 is a multi‑purpose ethylene‑vinyl‑acetate copolymer plastic material. Its high VA content (33 wt%) endows it with good softness, elasticity and adhesive property.
Main Applications
Adhesives & Coatings: One of its major applications. It is especially suitable for formulating hot‑melt adhesives used in book binding, packaging, furniture edge‑banding and automotive interior parts. EVA with VA content 20‑28 wt% is widely applied for hot‑melt adhesives and coating products.
Resin Modification: Blended with other resins to improve flexibility, impact resistance and processability.
Foamed Products: Used for soft foamed materials for shoe‑materials such as soles and interior parts, as well as sports‑equipment padding.
Wire and Cable: Suitable for sheath materials of halogen‑free flame‑retardant cables and certain special‑purpose cables.
Films and Sheets: Used for agricultural films and packaging films. EVA with VA content ranging from 5‑45 wt% can be used for films and sheets.
Injection‑molded Products: Applied to toys, daily consumer goods and household‑appliance components.
Food‑contact Applications: According to references, it complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1350(a)(1) for food‑contact scenarios and can be used for food containers. Relevant regulatory compliance shall be verified before practical use.

Processing Characteristics & Parameters
Applicable Processes: Injection molding, extrusion for sheets, pipes and wire‑cable sheaths, blow molding, hot‑melt coating and foaming molding.
Drying: Drying at around 65℃ is recommended before processing to avoid bubbles or silver streaks in finished articles.
Processing Temperature: Melt temperature shall be kept below 230℃. EVA features low molding temperature with a broad typical processing window of 160‑200℃. Temperature shall not exceed 250℃; otherwise material degradation will easily occur.
Mold Temperature: Low mold temperature of 20‑45℃ is recommended.
Processing Tips: Adopt process conditions of “low temperature, medium pressure and medium speed”. Parts tend to stick to the front half of mold. A snap‑type cold‑slug well for sprue is suggested in mold design.
